Dalwhinnie Distiller’s Edition Scotch – Review

First of all, this whiskey was probably the hardest for us to nail down a specific taste for. It was extremely complex but after two separate tastings, we got more to take in.
Dalwhinnie Distillery is in Dalwhinnie, Scotland and has been around as a business for over a hundred years. They definitely know what they’re doing in terms of single malt scotches.
Color was a medium to dark amber.
Nose:
T: Nutty and almost herbal spice
C: light herbal smokiness
Palette:
T: Nutty, initially sweet with medium bite
C: Sweet, light herbal taste, small amount of smoke flavor
Finish:
T: Sweet linger
C: Sweet with no lasting smoky flavor from the palette
Altogether a hard one to describe. But even if it is hard to describe, it is still delightful for a scotch.
